well......i was wondering in the middle of the night.....
"what is that make people love tsubasa?"
for me, i love the artwork and characters....
i also think syaoran's hott@@ :inlove:
-
Me, I like the animation style; those long limbs and slim figures really appeal to me. I was worried in the beginning that the whole business with traveling to different worlds would end up with the serie developing about as much as Pokémon: that it'd be an endless battling-monster-finding-a-feather-in-every-world-with-the-same-characters-all-the-time kind of show, but the main characters actually develop slowly but steadily as we find out more and more about them. I like that alot!

me, too! at first, i thought "hey, there's another series about Cardcapturer Sakura...."
but after I read them, only the characters were same, but it was whole another story!
-
Well....Storyline were kind of different from other Clamps works. It's really good idea to regain old characters = they have new personality in each world but they have same soul (like Yuuko would say ;) )
Every world is so different - it's kind of new challenge every time to find feather...
And characters are good. But I really like plot/storyline and artwork.
-
the characters are more fully grown. the storyline..=\ and it has less of that ditsy cute perky stuff o-O"
-
i love the storyline, the characters, the art, clamp, syaoran , just about everything!
-
Well first:
Syaoran - Do I need to explain? :inlove:
I love the art.
I love the story line too! It's just so neat!
-
I like the S+S relationship...it's sooo cute! And yeah, I like the animation style and art as well.
-
At first, I didn't like the drawing style but as soon as I got used to long limbs and skinnyness.... I began to absolutely love the artwork. It can be both cute and gorgeous. The characters are also interesting. Each of them are very different, yet they still have a common ground between them, and once distance relationship has now become close. (Kurogane is the best example. I'd say Fai is still "distant" compared to others). And of course there is S + S relation ship and oh, Syaoran.... I love him even more in Tsubasa than CCS (loved him there too, of course). If only a guy like Syaoran would exist in real life.....*daydreams*

the biggest factor that got me reading it was a continuation of the couple Syaorana and Sakura. And when I heard it was about Syaoran mainly, I was even more interested. As with Mina, the art threw me off for a while, but I liked it after a while of dreamily staring at Syaoran. The plot is wonderful, and the new characters are intriguing and adorable. The idea of a girl losing her memories and a boy giving his all to find them even though she'll never love him again is sadly sweet. I can only hope things will turn out okay, and that makes me want to read it even more.
And I just love Syaoran too much...*_*

Yeah I feel that way too! I wasn't attracted to the art too much either. But like you I started to like it after seeing it so much.
-
at first, i thought the skinnyness was kinda didn't fit the artwork
but i got use to it...also it's amazing how clamp knew what like of background and the expression they had to use

When I first saw the art I was like. "Um.. that looks weird." Lol. It was pretty but It didn't really catch my attention. CLAMP are such good artists though. Their artwork is so beautiful.

It was really hard for me to believe that they were the same people who did CCS and Chobits, cause besides TRC those are the only other CLAMP things I've read. I eventually grew to love ALL of CLAMPs work, those women are amazing.

Yeah. They are amazing! I've actually only seen part of the CCS anime. I was gonna buy the Chobits manga but never got around to. I haven't really seen or read much of Tsubasa.
-
i couldn't imagine how long it took to draw a full page with alot of flowers, long cloths flying and everything else( like those chapter pictures)

Oh I know! I would imagine that would take forever!
-
The chapter beginnings are SO intricate! I like how in later volumes they show pictures of earlier people, like Chu Nyan and the country of Jade...and Sakura's most common with her cute poses with Mokona!
-
Their art work just leaves me speechless sometimes.
-
I like how diversified CLAMP is...all of the artwork is so unique and different from each series. My friend loves the CCS artwork but isn't big on TRC...but I personally like Tsubasa more cause it has Syaoran better drawn.
-
I love both CCS and TRC's artwork. Especially the manga. Well the anime is gorgeous too!
-
I can never like the anime as much as the manga, mostly cause they change it and fill it with pointless, though sometimes cute, fillers. But the art of Tsubasa's anime is pretty good...I love the eyes.
-

same here!!
syaoran in ccs is cute, but i think syaoran in trc is better
-
i like the story line, the characters, the art work,.............. i just love everything!! XD

I've never read the CCS manga. I always will love the CCS anime. It was like my 3rd anime ever.

yeah i was like that too when I first saw tsubasa images...but then when I saw the beautiful S+S images, I just had to go read the manga!
-
Sakura and Syaoran is what attracted me to the series.
I don't think I would have got interested if it hadn't been for them.
-
Same for me...I'd read the begininning of the Tsubasa manga volume one but wasn't very interested. Then I got into CCS and was like "WAI! I have to go find that manga again! Its got Syaoran and Sakura in it!"
-
Yeah. Actually I saw CCS first and then saw Tsubasa and I knew that they were in it but I never got around to buying it.
-

agreed....if it only was fai and kurogane i don't know if i would read it in first place...

Same here. I actually read the first chapter a long before I became fan of TRC and it just didn't catch my attention enough to keep reading.... but I picked it up again few months later and didn't stop this time. Few more chapters in, my attention was caught enough to keep going and become a fan. If there was no Syaoran and Sakura in it? Most likely I wouldn't have read TRC.
Can you imagine though? TRC without Syaoran and Sakura? That's just.... wrong.
-
Yeah, it's Syaoran and Sakura...
Plus CLAMP says they are gonna put in characters from many of their other works- in different form.
From what I remembered, CLAMP REALLY, REALLY enjoyed writing short comedies of what the characters would have been through should they be in a parallel setting. RG-Veda: Soap Opera Ver. was funny... Yasha was a cop, and Ashura was a genie in a tree trunk, and Kochaku is Yasha's mother-in-law
Almost forgot, I remember that recently, CLAMP drew another short comedy where Hideki and Chii accidentally entered Cephiro...
So there you have it, CLAMP's joy in mixing up their characters in various settings, which is something I'd think about, too, for many other fictional characters.
I remember them saying something about making an anthology of their past works, and then came up with the idea of making another manga where they can freely put in old stuff anywhere they want (explicitly or subtly)
I was very interested in Tsubasa when I see Syaoran&Sakura would have been the fact that I am finally able to see some of my favorite characters here, NOT DEAD-- A.K.A. : Sei-chan, Oruha, Sorata, Souma, Kendappa, Ryu-chan <-YES! Ryu and Sora-chan are my favorite, and I'd like them alive and well, and it's good to see Ken-neechan no longer a murderous psycho

I know! I don't think it would be good at all without them in it.
-
Those cuties keep us going, ne? And its also the appeal of seeing everyone in a whole new setting, with whole new identities. Sakura a princess, Syaoran an archaeologist, Tomoyo in a whole different world...its the best thing for us fans.
-
I agree! Its so neat to see the characters that were used to just in a different settings, having different personalities, and just having a new storyline and everything.

i always look at the art of the character....like somtimes the character has a small real oval shaped eyes...or small body....well i like how they make their characters
-
^ I like the looks of the characters as well. When I first saw the art, I didn't really like it that much.
But now I love it!
-
I like that when I read it I don't want to put it down till I'm done. Also I want to read them over and over again.
-

i agree. i seem to be more attached to mangas more than animes. it's nice to hear voices behind the characters but overall, i prefer mangas better. plus, i don't like filler episodes.
-
when i read it...it feels like i can hear the character's voices inside me
-

Oh you mean since you've seen the anime, when you read the mange you can picture the characters speaking?
-
no actually...i read the manga first...still in my mind i makeup the voices and read it....
-
What do I like about Tsubasa???? everything really... okay....
The main reason why I like Tsubasa is that the story is original and great, also the artwork is totally beautiful.
