Title: Virtual Dub problem
Post by: Kuro-puppy on April 30 2006, 08:36 pm
when i try to open episodes for making screenshots i get this error:

"Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video.
Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable."

can somebody help?

Did you try to open an .avi file or .wmv file? If you tried to open a .wmv file, Virtual dub can't because it does not support that format. As for .avi, I'm not so sure, since I've never encountered such a problem before. :X
