Just found it from livejournal pages, and  it's said that it was found in the paperback version

woo.. i just brought the chinese version of the character guide 1 and 2 is already on the way!!! but i guess it'll be another yea before it reaches singapore..

Hopefully this is the right place to put this! I was on jpqueen.com and noticed that they had 2 new images up for the second caractere guide:

It was released today (the 17th), right? So hopefully we'll be seeing more images soon (unless everyone's already seen the whole book and I've just missed something big, lol).

Maybe it's not the right place to ask this but...

What exactly is a Character Guide anyway? A book with many character images or what? O.o

character guide is a book that shows the sketching of character design & etc.... (if i not wrong)

Considering it's not even out in japan, I doubt Del Rey is worried about it yet.

Hyuu, I'm excited for this one... Maybe I'll buy it before the english release....

I think it is out in Japan now, since the release date on the ad was October 17th. I was a little surprised that it isn't up on ebay or anything though, so maybe it was delayed or something?

The character guide (the title is spelled caractere guide for whatever reason) is basically a book that outlines the characters and worlds the TRC group has been to. It has little sections of commentary by each character, ratings for strength/charisma/mental power...etc. There's a fan section at the back of the first guide that has fanart, character ratings (favorite character, pairing, scene...and stuff). At the back of the first one there was a 'material gallery' that had some concept sketches of the main characters (LOL KUROGANE) and monsters, places... there was also the rough draft of the first TRC chapter at the end.

I really want to see the new guide. Hopefully the japanese import book store thingy near here will have it soon~
