Title: Evangelion Manga officially goes BL

It's TRUE! All of you ShinjixKawaru fans don't have to hide anymore! The author has made them an official couple! Or at least they kissed!

Just thought i'd share this info! What do you all think? The most famous anime/manga franchise in history (?) has turned BL!

In the case of NGE, the anime came first, followed by the manga (an interesting note, however, is that the author of the manga was also involved in the making of the anime - he did the character design). Unusual, huh?

In any case, I think the anime made it perfectly clear even without kissing that Shinji was interested in Kaworu in a more-than-platonical-way, but, as much as I liked both characters, I never really cared for them as a couple, as I keep thinking of Kaworu as, not a person, but a symbol. Exactly what it is he symbolises I don't know, though. It could be self-acceptance, it could be love... or it could just be coolness. :wink:

Post by: Senefen on September 28 2006, 11:42 am: I really liked Kaworu in the anime, in the manga hes a bit of a crazy jerk but O.o, but he looks cool and Tabris is such a cool name. The shower scene is in the manga - more shinij freaking as Kaworu gets far to close for his liking XD

It stands for Boys Love, aka Shounen-ai.
