The 9th boxset of Gatchaman was released today. The boxset contains the 17th and 18th DVDs of the series covering episodes 96 through 105 plus as always, the boxset contains a bonus behind-the-scenes DVD. Pre-ordered mine and should have it at the end of the week (and yes, I have the other 8 boxsets too)

G-Force!

Its a real time classic for japanese animation.  only seen it on tv and i am aware that theres a lot of edit.

Recently just read a poll about top 100 anime and Gatchaman ranked 61 in celebrity poll.  article can be found here (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=9652)

Fortunately the boxsets are the original UNEDITED versions of the series, including episodes not shown in the United States or during its incarnation as G-Force or Battle of the Planets. Though the new dubbed voices are done well, I watch it in its original Japanese with sub-titles.

Finished watching the final 10 episodes:

Show content
Finished watching the final episodes and it blew me away. Now I kind of knew Berg Kaste was a woman but I didn't know he was a mutant that was suppose to be born twins but instead was born a combined male and female, switching back and forth during his (her?) childhood until Kaste gained control over it. The biggest shocker for me? Joe the Condor actually DIED in the final episode. WOW! The series definitely ended with a bang and enjoyed it much.
