Title: Newtype Japanese Fans Poll

Interesting to note that the June Newtype USA, gives the results of a poll of Japanese anime fans (taken at the end of Jan. 05).  Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY dominates the all-time favorite anime series, as well as the favorite male (six of ten slots) and female (five of ten) slots.  Bishonen action-oriented series such as Gankutsuou, Neon Genesis Evangelion, FMA, and the rest of the Gundam series occupy most of the other slots.

Still ... Sakura Kinomoto managed to slip into the top ten female characters of all time (#9), five years after her series finished up.    :okay:

Wow...even after 5 long years she's still one of the best.  ^^  Nothing less to expect from Sakura.   :heh:

Any particular reason why this was moved out of a CCS forum (where it's relevant) and into a general anime/manga forum (where it's not)?  Or was it just an irritation that anime series other than CCS were mentioned?

since it's about newtype mostly.. not really CCS. there's really nothing to talk about in the CCS section.

maybe you should just change this to newtype or something.. because you won't get much talk about CCS from a poll..

gundam seed destiny has been dominating the poll ever since it started.. haha.. lacus had been #1 female since like FOREVER!! and #1 male was athrun but now it's kira for the 3 week in a row.. YEA!!!! haha.. lolz.. i don't know jap but i just see if the names are the same as the character names.. i don't really look into the name much.. haha to lazy to check it out.. but thanks for letting me know..

but i know that sakura has been in some magazine polls still.. XD GO SAKURA!!!

Probably the latter. In any event it's good to see Miss Kinomoto is still popular in Japan. I know they keep releasing new figurines (since I buy the sets as they become available and let me tell you, they are not cheap).
