Even though I like the Syaoran from CCS alot better, I have to agree that the Tsubasa Syaoran is too strong for him. Syaoran in Tsubasa has totally bad@$$ kicking skills, and he could easily find ways to counter the CCS Syaoran's magic.

Well, this is a tough question Arcademan, so I'll try to show my reason as to why I chose Syaoran from TRC.

CCS!Syaoran is a strong character in martial arts, and knows how to use a sword. He also uses magic quite well. His emotions can be his downfall or his motivation.

TRC!Syaoran is also a strong character, who is more hands on than anything. He doesn't use magic, and has a strong will, and doesn't let his emotions sway him. He is learning how to use a sword.

Now, I also want to point out that CCS!Syaroan and TRC!Syaoran are pretty much the same, save for a few differences. TRC!Syaroan is much more older, can analyze situations much quicker, and can also beat one with magic. However, CCS!Syaoran has the same assets, except he isn't blind in one eye. So aren't they really on par? I dont know if it makes sense but CCS!Syaoran is just like TRC!Syaoran with magic, and he also isn't blind in one eye. If CCS!Syaoran was older, I'd say he'd be the strongest.

But, I'm choosing TRC!Syaoran because its good to have patience, and dont let your emotions sway you. TRC!Syaroan is also a quick learner and really smart, and he has shown countless times that he doesn't need magic to defeat one with magic.

I havent watched Tsubasa yet but judging from the pictures
that I see of Syaoran in TRC, he looks way tougher than his
CCS counterpart

And he lost that card during the final judgment. Exactly what time period are we talking? Like during the middle of the series? Is this before the CCS Syaoran lost his Clow Cards and before Tsubasa Syaoran learned how to swordfight?

One thing to remember. Syaoran Li lost the time card in his battle with Yue, and after Sakura beat Yue she got the time card. She proves this when she uses it in episode 65: Sakura and the Snow-blowing Ski School and in the second movie she uses it against the Void Card.

The Time is one of the most powerful cards (behind The Dark and The Light) however uses tremendous amounts of energy. Its powers are finite. BTW, the other card requiring lots of energy is The Return.

Even though TRC Syaoran is older, CCS Syaoran would still be strong enough to win, because not only does he have martial arts skills, he can also wield magic, which is something that TRC Syaoran can't do. Plus, he's not blind in one eye.

TRC Syaoran couldn't beat the magic if he was being electrocuted, or drowned....and to those who might say he could resist the wind attack, remember how he was beaten by the Ryan'ban's magic wind!

All good and valid points. So far the CCS version has all the skills and training. The Tsubasa version seems to have more in-battle experience and the motivation for battle.

CCS Syaoran use magic thats why I think TRC Syaoran would have his problems with him...

I feel that TRC Sayoran would win anyway that you slice it. The fight would be long and involved, but that would be the outcome. There are too many variables concerning CCS Sayoran's power. How many cards does he have? This being the largest variable, if we were to give him the best cards he has throughout the series, then we would have to wait until TRC ends to give the other his best goodies. It's like moezy-chan said, if I had to pick a favorite, then it might be CCS Sayoran, but in terms of combat abilities TRC Sayoran has it.

just thought that they will be evenly matched..

like most of you said, CCS Syaoran can use magic and sword.. and TRC Syaoran is a good fighter and later able to use a sword..

also, CCS Syaoran may be younger but i believe he can dodge attacks faster due to his small built.. and TRC Syaoran is determine and focus..

so.. its really evenly matched!

Looks like the Tsubasa version of Syaoran is beating his Cardcaptor Sakura counterpart by a 2-to-1 vote with 7 others saying it's an even battle. I'll keep the poll open until the end of this month, then I'll lock and load

Personally, I like trc Syaoran best, but I think ccs Syaoran would kick his ***. If Sakura was involved in the match, like if the loser loses their most precious person, then all bets would be off. Someone should write a fanfic about that!
