1 of my neighbour (a woman) juz dropped by and said hi to my mom and asked if i;m secondary 2...(thats14 yrs old) ,my mom says that i only look small but i'm going to polytechnic this yr (17 yrs old). no wonder during the 2004 december--2005 april period, every job interview i go to, no1 wants to hire me, coz i look too twerpy -.-

Some places you can work at even when you're fourteen....but usually, at least here, you have to be 16.
I'm 15, so I'm probably going to start working at Dairy Queen or something during the summer. Sad, but I need the money. I'm never gonna get back the 300 bucks my so called best friend owes me so might as well work on getting that money back on my own.
I'm working at my church right now. But I'm only getting 15 (canadian) bucks every sunday. And that's not alot compared to what my dad used to pay me for just lugging grass to his trailor when he was in the lawn care buisness (I made about 500 bucks just during the summer!)
Blah. It's not even worth the money. I'm not religious and they all assume I am so I'm suckered into doing all these different things like pageants with the 5 year olds (a 15 year old doing a childrens pageant...it's embarassing, believe me) I also have to do the Call to Worship (read out a little prayer at the begining of the service practically every sunday). And it's really bothering me cause I feel like i'm going to burst into flames every time i do it because I don't even believe in this stuff.
My main job was just to take care of the babies and toddlers during the service, that's it. Wow, I really sound like a selfish *****, don't I? Well, I believe people shouldn't have to do things they aren't comfortable with, unless their getting a decent reward which I'm not. 15 bucks and getting spazed at for not, "Getting involved" with the church. Hmm...I'm getting screwed over.
Oh well, I'm quiting at the end of April, and I told them if they didn't find anyone to replace me my mom and I will come on from time to time until they do. I may be selfish but I don't wanna leave them high and dry just because I'm not enjoying myself.

Wow, I really do ramble.

I don't have a job for two reasons:
1: There is so little around
2: Anything that is wants you to have a brain surgery degree (ok, not true - but the qualifcations issue is so stupid its not funny)

dairy queen is a restuarent i remember? you are going to work as a waitress? all the job interviews i go for are cashier vacancies, i dont know y being small, i cant get the job...i CAN reach the cash register =.=......no offence but i went to a church recently (last yr december *thats recent already, its my 1st time* i went with my aunt and cousins coz i was playing tour guide for their stay in singapore) and i didnt like it....the prayers make me snooze, and the atmosphere doesnt help much either, its too dull...i feel like flopping over the banches, in fact, i was pokeing at 1 of the christmas decorations (a red bally thingy that ppl hang over christmas trees)....when the priest said something bout "...death...return to the lord.." thingy, (about the tsunami) i got extremely flamed up...how can death of so many be juz so simply put?! the news showed ppl crying their hearts out fr losing their loved ones and this situation is put as "return to the lord" or so....death means the dreams the dead wants to accomplish are gone with their future, they could have done miracles, great things, save ppl and their deaths hurt those close to them....truely, i cant juz accept "return to the lord", if a person dies satisfied and contanted, then* i'll approve "return to the lord" stuff....

I'm going to work in a amusement park in Calgary, I think it's called Calway Park, but they pay 10 bucks an hour for newbies so yeah, it seems fun ^^

Did I just use work and fun in the same sentence *wide-eyed*

Anyway, skipping a grade is so werid. But I had to since my mom and dad think the courses I use to take in Grade 9 were to easy, so Grade 10 it is. High School is hard though, since Grade 10 is the first year for high school in Calgary. I remeber BC had it in Grade 8 or 7, when I lived there, I would've went to Grade 8 in high school, but I had to move, I loved BC though ^^

cool....the only amusment park in singapore is escape theme park which rides can be done within a day *not much fun if you ask me* but they hire ppl who are...taller...*sobs*

How discrimanting (sp?) I am a shortie as well. My 13 year old sis is taller than me. Really embrassing too. The Park really doesn't need physical work, you can be a cook or a janitor or someone who greets the guests or something. I just want a lazy job and get some cash to get all those Anime-related stuff I need. Anime is like my fix or something. ^^

It's a Fast Food Resteraunt so there's no waitresses, haha. But that would have been cool. Â No I'd probably just work at the drive-through...that would be easy.

Yeah, most of BC has highschool starting in grade 8. But at my school it doesn't start til Grade 9. But the highschool curriculum starts at grade 8. Â I remember my Gr.8 english teacher used to always say, "You're technically Highschool students right now!" I was just like, "Oh. Cool. But umm...since we are technically "Highschool" students...could ya start treating us that way instead of treating us like those 11 year olds(Gr.6's) down the hall?"
It's always so confusing. Everyone's middle school and Highschools start at different grades. For me it was:
Elementary School: Kindergarden to Grade5.
Middle School: Grade6-8
HighSchool: 9-12
But i know downtown (Victoria) It's like Elementary school doesn't finish until Grade 7 (which has really gotta suck). Then it's grade 8 to grade 10 for MS or Junior High or something. And then it's Grade 11 to 12 for Senior High.
Blah, why can't it all just be the same?
Meh. I guess it doesn't really matter.

singapore is toooooo judgemental really, coz competition is too great, i nearly wanted to try out a job in the hospital until i had to get my mom's approval, which she declines me going for the interview...turns out that i had to touch corspes at the hospital and stuff and my mom wasnt happy...its not $10/hr either, something like 6....

Since I move alot, it's all random actually.

For Toronto, it's Grade 1-5 for elementary I think, and then Grades 6-9 for Junior High and then Grades 10-13 (yup, 13 0_o) for HIgh School. Also there was 3 levels for kindergarten since I was born there. I remeber I started school when I was 4 years old, that's how crazy it is. I could be wrong though, but that's how I remember it.

I moved to BC in Grade 4, just about finished Elementary. And yeah, Elementary was just about that. And I was in Grade 7 and was going to Grade 8 HIGH SCHOOL, when I moved....again >_>

IN Calgary, elementary is Grade 1-6 and Junior High is Grades 7-9 and Highschool Grades 10-12.

Yeah, canada has so many diffrent educational levels, it would really be easier if it were all the same though.

I was in two levels of Kindergarden....I loved it there haha. It also helped that my Cousin (or was it 2nd cousin..? Don't remember) was one of the teachers! Hha, not that I got any special treatment, err...okay maybe she was a bit nicer to me but that was about it.

Today, the weirdest thing happened. At lunch at school, they played the ending song to CARDCAPTORS. I don't even think that song has words. It just goes "nanananananananananananana" the whoooole time. I swear I choked on my food when I heard it. I think it's some type of consiparicy. Nelvana is following, since they know about my plans of desturction. *is paranoid*
