Just my thought, but I suppose being able to identify with characters from an anime is the best proof that the anime has truly captured your heart. And besides, it is another question to ask whether you originally were likethe character you were able to identify with, or whether you subconsctiously made yourself act like that because you actually liked what you see. Perhaps this explains why people would always say they act like the mjor characters that've captured everyone's hearts like Sakura or Syaoran. Under such an assumption, I wouldn't be surprised that anime like CCS, or indeed any TV show that has a large fanbase for that matter, has somehow in some miniscule but not insignificant way, changed the hearts of those fans, and perhaps even the world.
Just a random thought that struck me. Hope I didn't go too off-topic!
