I love the Japanese version so much better than the english. I used to watch the english until I got a subed tape and then I couldn't go back to the english.

I guess the japanese one is better since everyone else says the english one sucks  :lol:. I've only watched cardcaptor once, it was the power card episode.

what's the point of this topic, everybody likes the japanese better ...why is obvious

and if there might excist someone who likes english better, he's probably killed by angry anime-fans by now, lol!

Believe it or not, but my sister actually likes the English version better! And whenever I ask her why, her answer is, "Because I can understand what they're saying!" Unbelievable.  -_-

Isn't that why subtitles where created?

Actually... after watching anime with subs for so many years... It's come rather close to me not needing the subtitles at all :p

But yes.. I like the japanese better

But yes.. I like the japanese better

That's what I said. She, for whatever reason, stands by her decision. I truly don't get it. And as for subtitles, I've watched so many anime episodes I don't really need them either. I can actually understand them!

Maybe some people like the dubbed version cause they can understand it and don't have to read subtitles.

I still prefer subtitles cause I like the Japanese voices and understand what they say! ^_^

That's understandable...however they couldn't leave CCS alone and ending up butchering it in an attempt to appeal to the merchendising-hungry Americans...and failed miserably at it.

Hehehe!!!Yeah!!!I appreciate CCSakura Tagalog version most than English CC 'cause there is a little flaw in my language but they make it accurate like in Japanese version(Truth,Sakura voice in Tagalog is from also a liitle girl also)!! :hehe:

well i think it's kinda obvious the japanese version wins hands

[fyi for you guys who haven't seen any episodes in japanese, you can watch them for free on [www.youtube.com] just type in cardcaptors or CCS or syaoran even and you can find them; no dling needed; mind you not all episodes are posted yet]

I will say this though:

Kero's ghetto voice; i think it worked. Even though i love his high squeaky voice in all its glory [and it made more sense since he was so tiny]

yueh: it wasn't bad! still had that cold/sugoi tone to it

touya: not bad either; but i'm sure it wasn't hard to find some tall guy with a deep voice for his part

terada sensei: I think his american voice is better actually ::runs and hides under covers:: don't hurt me!!! T_T but seriously!! he's not buff enough to have such a guff voice! his shoulders need to be at least twice their size for him to sound like that.

all and all GO JAPANESE! ^^V

I've never watched Cardcaptors (thank goodness), but I've read about the changes and heard the horrible intro and that was enough for hating the dub. Evil, evil Nelvana.
