I can't remember hearing "doh" arigatou, but I hear domo arigatou.
Sometimes just domo alone too.

I've found a website that helps translate other languages into Japanese and vice versa. The link is here: http://www.worldlingo.com/microsoft/computer_translation.html However, the translation is done by computer and it may not be accurate but so far it has been quite alright with me.  :D

I'm trying to learn Japanese.
I get most of the vocabulary from Anime and am really trying to learn all the kana right now.
I don't have an easy time remembering the Kanji symbols.
I'll keep trying though!

I may be wrong, but I've heard that this site is having a few problems. Anyway, I thought it only translated kanji....

kawaii: cute, arigato: thanks, gomen: sorry, baka: stupid, gaki: brat/kid.

Oooh, me too.
Will we be off topic if we start a Japanese words list?

Here are some I really like.

Kuso (shi*)
Kotatsu (that nice warm table they all sit around)
Takoyaki (deep fried batter with octopus tail inside)
Ganbatte (do your best)
Shikkari (get it together)
Yokatta (I'm glad)
Neko, koneko (cat, kitten)
Kokoro (heart)
Matte! (wait!)
Okashi (sweets)
Oujisama (prince)

Anyone know some good phrases?

Watashi wa Fai-san ga suki desu!!!

(ot~glad to see you on, Endoh! Sorry about your computer.)

Feel free to add words, when I get the language center together any posted words (and maybe phrases) will be added to it and this topic locked.

Maybe I'm wrong?

Nooooo. Yukata (summer kimono) is pronounced: You-ka-ta
and Yokatta (I'm glad) is pronounced just as it looks, I believe, Yo-kat-ta.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm a dumby.

Dunno why, but I've always loved the word yume....it means something along the lines of dream, right?

Or am I just totally off?
