The doctor was in this office looking at Rico's medical reports, he had just spent an hour in emergency surgery, thankful that his patient had survived.

He heard the door open and saw Giorgia, "ahh come in Giorgia," he said to her.

Giorgia stepped in and closed the door behind her. "Mr. Ryoshine told me you wanted to talk me." Giorgia stated.

The doctor nodded, "Yes I did, just a normal check up that I do on every child here." he said and gestured toward the small round chair that sat in the middle of the room."Please take a seat," he said.

She didn't like the whiteness of the walls, it made her feel slightly nervous. However, the doctor's calm demeanor helped sooth her nerves. She took a seat on the chair.

The doctor clasped his hands together and asked, "how are you feeling?"

The doctor nodded. "That's good, about todays mission. What were you feeling during the mission?" he asked, "please be specific and truthful."

Near the door a young girl was leaning up against the wall her lab coat matched the wall so precise that if it wasn't for eyes and finger tails one would think there was just a wall there. "Giorgia, the director wants to make sure everyone is alright after today's mission," she said with folded arms.

Giorgia jumped slightly. "Oh...Um...well..slightly shocked, yes. But...but I can't seem to hate Mr.Franz. I think...I..." she blushed slightly, "I think I care for him, I mean..I know I shouldn't but...he reminds me so much of...I guess...well I mean...well what I'm trying to say...he seems and feels familiar." Giorgia stumbled around the words, trying to get her thoughts in order.

The doctor sighed, it was a response he wasn't to proud to hear - that she apperently had developed feeling for someone. "You realize that if those feelings develop it could interfere with your work, right?" he told her.

"Well...well, yes. But...but everyone deserves a second chance, right?" She looked up at the doctor pleadingly.

The director sighed. "Everyone does, but your job is to protect your handler... what happens if he get's shot while your thinking of Franz?" he asked. He knew it was a hurtful question but he had to ask it, for the safety of both her and her handler.

Giorgia flinched. Her mouth set in a firm line.

"I wouldn't let anything happen to him either." The doctor looked doubtful. "I haven't let anything happen to him this far, have I, sir? Why would I start to slack off, now?" Her eyes were blazing. " I wouldn't let anything happen to him." She repeated.

The doctor didn't trust her, he had heard about what had happened during the last mission and also this one. "Very well," he said and clasped his hands. "I'll keep you on active duty, however, you are to stay away from Franz for the time being. We don't know what he might do, and I'm sorry but we can't trust him," he said and then changed the subject. "How are you getting along with the others?"

She eyed the doctor warily. She could see it in his eyes. He didn't trust her. Not one bit. Fine, then. She thought. Stay away from Franz? Does he honestly think that Franz will do something to hurt us? She then realized that the doctor had asked her yet another question.

She answered very curtly. "Fine, I suppose. Getting a long with them great."

"That's good," the doctor said and wrote it down. "As long as you can get along with them ok," he said and wondered if there was anything more to talk about. "Anything you'd like to ask?"

"No." She replied, a little too quickly. She jumped off the chair but the doctor was motioning her to sit back down. She did so.

"Really. There isn't anything."

The doctor looked her straight in the eyes. "What did Mr.Bietrich tell you about your father?"

"Erm. Italian man...?"

The doctor frowned. "Not him."

"Oh...he said he was a German officer."
The doctor raised his eyebrows.

"..And he was his friend."

The girl behind shook her head. This'll be more trouble than its worth... why the heck is Ryoshine... err...

Giorgia said calmly, "Is that all, sir? May I leave now?"

The doctor nodded absently. He'd have Ryoshine talk to her. He'd probably be able to get more out of her.

Giorgia ran out, stopping at Franz's door and slid a note under the door that she had scribbled on her way. She then headed toward her room.

Ryoshine had gone to the medical room to look after Rico while Jean was busy getting things set up. Most of Rico's wounds were easy to 'fix' but some required some creative methods.

"How is she nurse?" Ryoshine asked. "Rico's doing fine, her blood preassure is a bit high, and she's apperently dreaming..." the nurse said, noting the tears running down Rico's face. "They rarely dream, but when they do its sometimes pleasant... but other times its a nightmare..."

He nodded. "How long do you figure she'll be in here?"

"That's Jeans call... but physically she should be fine by tomorrow afteroon, late early morning the day after.." she said.

Ryoshine sighed. "very well, keep Jean appraised of her condition."

"We always do," the nurse smiled.

Franz opened his eyes to see a note being slipped under his doorway. His two 'guards' were sleeping and he smiled. He walked over and picked the note up:

Gerade falls jemand anderes dieses anstelle von Ihnen empfängt, habe ich dieses auf Deutsch geschrieben, wie Sie sehen können. Herr Franz, lassen sie mich nicht nahe Ihnen. Aber ich möchte nicht hervorquellen....I möchte nicht Sie verlieren. Jedoch Übel oder Schlechtes sind Sie vom Töten meines Vaters...., das Sie auch die einzige Verbindung sind, ich er muß. Ich hoffe, daß Sie verstehen. Ich passe rüber Sie Herr Franz auf, verspreche ich, daß ich werde. - Giorgia

The Major forced a lump down. Here was a ten year old girl, telling him she'd protect him. after all that he had done to her. Whispering to himself he said, "Sie sind wirklich Kind Thomas, Giorgia...

*Just in case someone else receives this instead of you, I've written this in German as you can see. Mr. Franz, they won't let me near you. But I don't want to well....I don't want to lose you. However evil or bad you are from killing my father .... you are also the only link I have to him. I hope you understand. I'll watch over you Mr. Franz, I promise I will.

*You are truly Thomas's child, Giorgia...
