Lomachislots War - Lost Childhood (Original) ~

Rin sighed. "Well I hope so, don't want him to go without food ya know," she said.

The dining hall had already begun to fill with students and teachers, most of the teachers went and got something light, most of the students were getting something light as well. "Well," RIn said and got up, "I'm going to get me something to eat, Anise should be back soon, so if I'm not back let her know ok?" Rin childishly smiled at Phineas and then headed for the Salad Bar.

Phineas nodded, and looked across the hall where Andy was.  He could barely see him, but he could see Andy's figure still

Andy stared at the ceiling.  He wasn't that hungry.   He didn't fee energetic anymore though.  However, he felt he should go to the dining room before Phineas thought something was up.  Sighing, he got up and walked over to the hall.

Phineas saw Andy walk over.  He held a hand up so Andy could see him.

Andy took a seat and faintly grinned at Phineas.  Phineas replied, "Go and get something to eat.  I'll wait here so no one else can take this seat."  Andy waved a hand, "Naw, go on ahead.  I'll wait. Go on, go on."  Phineas shrugged.  "Alright."  and headed off to a line as well.

As soon as Phineas was in the line, Andy just put his head down.

Anise walked into the dining hall just then, having had to check in with the nurse. She walked over to where Andy was, assuming that's where her twin sister was also sitting, "what's wrong Andy?" she asked him, worried that her friend might be ill.

Meanwhile Rin was loading up two plates at the salad bar, both Anise and her loved salads, although Anise liked her's more loaded than Rin. After she was done preparing the salad's she then walked over to started pouring some dressing on. "Alright! Check!" she smiled and placed both plates on a tray and started back to the table.

[Director of Music]

Andy slowly lifted his head.  He smiled warmly, completely ignoring her question.  "Oh hey, Anise.  Rin and Phineas went to get food, why don't you go and get something to eat as well?"

Phineas grabbed something light and started heading toward the table.

"Something light?" Rin suddenly said behind Andy's chair.

Anise smiled and looked over at her. "A salad? Yummy!" she said, clasping her hands together in a sort of childish manner. She took a seat in her chair as Rin was placing the plate in front of her, she took the salt and pepper shakers that were on the side of the table and sprinkled her salad with both, once done she started eating.

Rin then took a seat and looked over at Andy "You know, you should get something to eat," she said to him before starting on her salad.

Andy put his hands behind his head.  "Nah, I'm alright.  Not too hungry."  he said, smiling.  He leaned back on his chair, balancing.  Soon, Phineas came to join the group.  He brought a bowl of soup and a chunk of bread which he promply threw at Andy.

"You have to eat something."  Andy caught it gracefully and put it down on the table.  "Maybe later."

The twins sighed and kept on eating, when Anise finished she asked where the bread was and Rin pointed her to a table next to the salad bar. She walked over to it and stopped short of it, she looked toward a vent and blinked, rubbing her eyes, when she opened them again she noticed that what she had seen wasn't there anymore. "Must be my imagenation," she said and grabbed some peices of garlic bread and went back to the table.

The soldier was tense for a few seconds, but relaxed when he saw the young girl turn away from him and back to what she had been doing. Whew.. that was to damn close, now, where is this girl, he thought as he scanned the room, it didn't take him long to locate the girl he was looking for - after all she was the only one wearing a student council uniform.Ranmaru, age eleven, fourth grade, damn it.. a child for christ sakes... he grumbled as he watched her go from table to table.

Ranmaru sighed as she walked over to the table that Rin and company sat at. "I hope you four as enjoying yourselves," she said to the four of them.

Andy turned and arched his eyebrows at this girl.  His mind scanned for any indication that he knew her.  He shrugged as he realized he didn't.  "Why do you look so down? Stu Co.  have extra work or somethin?"  He grinned.

"Eh?" Ranmaru said, blinking. A smile creased her face, "Yes, I guess you could say that, even though we're on a field trip, it's difficult 'not' to have work to do," she said and turned to RIn. "Of course, you've been neglecting your duty's as the treasurer for some time," she said, scolding Rin.

Rin just sighed. "With what's been going on lately, can you blame me?" Rin said. Ranmaru thought about it for a second before nodding, "I guess you have a point, just remember that we have a budget meeting when we get back," she said and then left the group to go and check on everyone else.

As Rin ate, Anise popped a question. "So, what shall we do since it's already getting night fall," she said and glanced out the window, while it wasn't easy to tell due to the whiteness, the clock on the wall told them that it was seven in the evening.

Andy shrugged.  "Get rest?"  Phineas promptly choked on his soup and Andy whacked him on the back.  Phineas spoke.  " I never thought I'd live to hear you say that"

"Rest is good," Anise said before she stuffed some salad into her mouth and chewed. "I wonder what we'll be doing tomorrow?" Rin asked, changing the subject.

When Anise was done she replied, "I think the teacher mentioned something earlier this morning that we would have most of the day for free time, except after lunch when we would be having a few special classes," she said and sighed. She picked up her plate and got up from her chair, "I'll talk to you two later," she said and winked at Andy. "I'll talk to you in our room Rin," she said before tossing her plate and then leaving the dining hall.

[Director of Music]

Andy shrugged, then nodded.  "Yeah, sure Anise."  He turned to Phineas and Rin.  "I'm going for a walk, you two have fun."  With that, he slowly got out of his chair and left the hunk of bread there.  He strolled down the hallway where he had fought with that instructor.  Plants lined the hallway.  Then, just for a second, he thought he saw a glimmer.  But he rejected the idea of something  so stupid.  He continued walking down the hallway.

The soldier sighed. Kids are almost to damn perseptive... the man thought as he watched the hallway.

Rin sighed. "Something wrong with Andy? I thought maybe it had to do with him wearing the uniform but I can't help but feel it's something.. .different..." she asked.

[Director of Music]

Phineas sighed, looking at the empty space where Andy had sat.  "I don't know... It's something I've been trying to find out this whole evening...I don't understand what's wrong.  He's never been like this before."

[Kasawa Lanford]

"Maybe he's just having one of those days?" Rin suggested. "I'm going back to the salad bar to get seconds, want anything?" she asked.

[Director of Music]

" I don't know, Rin.  Even at his worst, he never showed it..."  He tapped his fingers on the table.  "You go on ahead, I'll wait."

[Kasawa Lanford]

Rin nodded, "alright," she said and went to get something more to eat.

Anise fast walked down the hallway, she was about to enter the room that the nurse was staying in when Ranmaru approuched her. "Hey Anise, can I talk to you real quick?" Ranmaru asked, her voice full of concern.

"Um," Anise looked at the door and then back at Ranmaru. "i umm..." she was stuck for words. Ranmaru smiled, "it's important, don't worry you can get changed after we talk, I'll just tell the nurse that I kept you waiting ok?" she said. Anise thought about it for a second and the nodded, "ok.. if it's that important," she said and followed Ranmaru up a flight of stairs.

They walked into the room that Ranmaru and some of her fellow classmates were staying in. She then closed the door behind her and walked over to the window, "Anise, would you be interested in becoming a council secretary?" Ranmaru asked. Anise blinked, "Huh? umm.. you sure you want someone like me.. with my condition?" she asked.

Ranmaru smiled and shook her head. "You know how to handle your condition though, it's just that you are very organized and I need someone with those types of skills," she said.

Anise brought her finger up to her chin, thinking. "Sure," she said.

The council president smiled. "Ok, here's what you need to know about the position," she said and went on to explain what she had to do as a council secretary.

"Hmm...." Rin said as she held the spoon and looked at the various types of salad dressings. "hmmm.. what to put on.. what to put on..." she said before humming a song she had once sang back in the second grade.

[Director of Music]

Andy strolled a long the hallway in deep thought.  His mind once again went back to his parents.  He sighed, "I'm supposed to be enjoying myself...why do I feel so dang depressed?"

Phineas peered out the window as he saw the snow fall peacefully down.

Anise smiled. "It's not that difficult of a job then," she said after listening to Ranmaru explaining to her what she'd have to do as a secretary for the student council.

"It's not, I'm not very organized and because of that we almost didn't have this field trip," she said and smiled at Anise. "Anyway, you better head off and report to the nurse's room."

Anise nodded and got up from her bed. She turned and bowed toward Ranmaru ,"thank you very much, I appriciate you talking to me," she said to her.

"No problem, I appriciate you talking to me despite you having to do something that is beyond your control," Ranmaru said.

She bowed once before and then headed toward the door. She grabbed the knob and opened it, then blinked when she saw something shimmering in front of her. She merely raised an eye-brow she felt something sink into her chest, before being thrown clear across the room and into Ranmaru, causing the girl to fall onto the ground.

"Who are you?!" Ranmaru demanded, her voice slightly different.

The two figures just stared at her, their cloaking devices disengaged revealing two fully suited soldiers. "Wait... you're part of the-" Ranmaru said before being cut off by the muffled shots from the soldiers weapons.

It happened in less than a minute, both soldiers stared at Ranmaru's dead form, lying on the ground. The girl that was next to her covered in the girls blood, "what do we do about the girl?" one of the two soldiers said to the other.

"Just leave her," the other said before both soldiers recloaked and left.

Anise laid there, fear, shock, all present on her face. She stared at Ranmaru's dead body, unsure how to react, she finally fell unconcious when she could no longer stand the sight.

In the dining hall Rin had just returend to the table that Phineas was at when she flet a cold chill run down her back, she didn't know why, but she some-how felt that something had happened to Anise. "Phineas, I'm going to use the restroom so I'll be right back" she said and left the dining hall, however she didn't notice that the dining hall already 'had' a set of restrooms.

Phineas nodded absent mindedly at first, but then realized Rin was going the opposite direction of the bathrooms.  Arching his eyebrows, he started to follow her.  He nearly bumped into Andy who looked alarmed.

"What the -"  However, Andy didn't finish what he was about to say, because as soon as they had turned a corner, there were two bodies lying there.  One of them was Anise.  Phineas and Andy both paled.
