Rin sighed. "A walk.. huh..?" she said and shook her head. "I'm fine... I just need to relax is all," she smiled weakly at Phineas.

In the infirmary a doctor stretched his hands and opened the door to head out, he then noticed the young boy standing there. "Hmm? Something wrong?" he asked Andy and knelt down to the boy's height.

"Really, Rin." Phineas said pleadingly. "You need to get some air. For me, please?"

Andy inwardly groaned as the doctor kneeled down to his height. For goodness sakes, he wasn't THAT short. And although he was the tallest in his grade, he couldn't wait to have his growth spurt. Calmly he stated,

"No sir, nothing's wrong. I'm just here to see a friend."

The doctor blinked. "No one is in the infirmary right now, unless you talking about a ten year old girl who is being taken care of by her school nurse," he said and handed Andy a note with the room number.

Rin closed her eyes. "Very well...." she said and relunctantly got up from her bed. Her leg's were partly shaking, as was her hands. She walked over to the door and smiled at Phineas. "L-Let's go..."

"Oh." Andy replied, slightly taken aback at getting information so quickly. "Thank you." He hurridly ran to the room number on the piece of paper that was written there. Very soon, he arrived at the door and gently knocked.

Phineas gently steadied Rin. He knew that she was weak from her ordeal, but in order for her to get better, she had to get out of this clamped room. Wordlessly, he opened the door and with Rin's hand around his arm, the two went down slowly down the hallway.

As they walked, Rin let out a weak smile. "Phineas.. why do you do this?" she asked him.

The nurse, upon hearing the gentle knock, got up from her chair and walked over to the door and opened. "Hello, Andy, something I can do for you?" she asked him.

Phineas looked over, slightly puzzled. "What exactly do you mean, Rin?"

The nurse looked over her shoulder. "She's asleep right now, you'll have to come back later," she told Andy.

Andy shrugged. "I could wait. I have plenty of time."

Phineas stopped suddenly. HIs voice for a change, full of emotion. He stared right into her eyes. "Because I care about you. A lot."

"You might be waiting awhile, and besides the instructors will be teaching a class in just an hour so I can't hae you stay then," the nurse said.

Phineas gently squeezed her shoulders. "It's something called friendship. Perhaps...even something more. I don't know." He turned back to face foward, slightly embarrased.

Andy was not to be deterred. "Erm, well, would it be okay for me to try and wait till it's time for me to go?"

"Sure," the nurse said and took a seat at her desk and continued to look after Anise.

"Friendship..." Rin repeated the word and walked over to the window, outside it had started to snow. She placed her hand on the window and smiled, ignoring most of what Phineas had said after words. "I always told Anise that I would be there for her when she needed me to the most... and yet..." she said sorrowfully.

Andy took a seat next to Anise's bed and watched her while she slept.

Phineas replied, "You didn't know this was going to happen. No one did. It's not your fault. I may have not been there, and I know you may feel as if it's your fault, but it's not."

"But it is!" Rin said, her voice raised slightly. "How can I show myself to Anise.. knowing that she's hurt the way she is... she probaby hates me right now..." she said, her eyes welling with tears.

Phineas struggled to remain calm. "It isn't. I bet you're the only one she wants to see right now. At this moment, she's the most vurnable. She needs you right now. You haven't let her down. At all." Phineas's words were short, but he wanted to get his point across.

"That's a lie..." Rin said, tears down her face. "She hate's me... because I broke my promise..." she said, choking back tears.

Anise was jolted awake, a sense of worry about her. "Anise, your awake," the nurse said.

"You're friend is-" the nurse said before Anise interrupted her. "Where's my sister?" she asked worriedly.

"Huh? Umm... her room I think," she said. Anise, ignoring Andy who was sitting on the chair, got up from her bed and left her room.

Phineas grimaced. Without another word, he half dragged, have carried Rin back to her room. To his surprise, they almost crashed into Anise.

"Girls have instincts, Andy, sometimes we know things and can feel things.." The nurse said and followed Anise out.

"Hey! Let go of my arm!" Rin struggled, when they approuched her room her eyes met Anises. "A-Anise..." she said nervously.

Anise stared at her sister. "Rin..."

Rin pulled her arm out of Phineas's grip and turned away. "W-what are you doing here?" Rin asked her.

"I wanted to see you... I was worried..." Anise said.

"But I broke my promise... to protect you..." Rin said, even though Anise couldn't see it, she knew Rin was partly sobbing.

Anise glanced at the floor. "Yes... you did promise... but it was my choice to talk to Ranmaru..." she said, stopping briefly at the name of the person who was killed, "it's not your fault I was caught up in it, you couldn't possibly have been there to protect me,"

Rin turned around but found Anise staring her in the face. She childishly smiled at Rin and hugged her, Rin, taken back by this, was at a loss of what to say.

Andy groaned and followed suit.

Phineas was so tempted to say, "I told you so." but held it in. He decided now wasn't the time.

The nurse watched and smiled. "I see everything is fine," she said, causing the twins to look at each other before looking at the nurse. "I guess we'll leave alone," she said and stared at the two boys. "I think it's best you boys have breakfast, classes will begin soon and I'm sure the instructors don't want anyone to be late, but I will tell them that you two will be late, as I'm sure you want to talk about things," she said to the twins.

With that said she turned her back to them and began down the corridor to the stairs.

Andy shrugged, looked at Phineas who also shrugged. They nodded to the twins and went off to get food.
