* Cardcaptor Sakura is finally available in omnibus form! In the style of the recent edition of CLAMP's Clover, Dark Horse will use remastered image files straight from CLAMP.

Release date is October 6, 2010.

Also for CLAMP fans, the omnibus edition of Magic Knight Rayearth will be released, also by Dark Horse Comics on September 29, 2010 as well as Chobits Volume 2 on August 4, 2010 and the Okimono Kimono TPB on June 9, 2010.

Offtopic, I like you Sig image, haven't seen that before, but then again, CCS role-playing pics are rare (I have a couple, of people roleplaying Sakura, but that is all

It's nice to a lot of CLAMP's works being re-released in complete form. I'll have to start saving up for them.

Buying two...one for my collection and one for reading. Cover price is $19.99 however I'm pre-ordering through Barnes & Noble for $15.52 so I'm psyched for it. I bought the Clover and first Chobits omnibus books and they're very well done.

As for the sig-pic...I wanted something a little different so I found some cosplay images and did that for the month. I still like the cosplay avatar I use here since if someone ever did a live-action CCS movie, that's what I would expect to see Sakura as in real life

You and me both. Clover was the one CLAMP series I could never find complete...well cheap anyway so the Dark Horse omnibus was a dream come true for me. I look forward to all the CLAMP releases from Dark Horse

I haven't gotten into Clover yet, but I definitely want to check that one out. I think Clover was one of the CLAMP series that still hasn't gotten an ending yet along with X, so I think CLAMP gets around to finishing those one day.

The first CCS omnibus release date has been pushed back to November 16th, Chobits has been pushed back to September 15 and Magic Knight Rayearth October 27.

<sigh!> I see how it's going to be. Until they got the rights to all of CLAMP's series and said many of them will be re-released, I never gave Dark Horse Comics a second look however I see one very nasty habit forming: constant changing of the released dates of books. Latest from Dark Horse Comics' website is that the first CCS omnibus will be released October 20th (next week). My pre-order still shows the date of November 23. They also posted a different book cover picture:

The second book is now scheduled for release December 8. My pre-order date is December 21 and it too also shows a new cover:

Guess I'll find out more this week about it and BTW the omnibus of Magic Knight Rayearth, which was originally scheduled for release on September 29, then October 27, is now scheduled for release on December 8 and the second MKR on January 19, 2011. No listing for the release of the third CCS omnibus.

Dark Horse...please make up your minds already!!!

The first book is now available. Suggested retail price is $19.99. Barnes & Noble has them for $14.49 and Overstock.com at about $13.49.

Don't you hate it when you want thingd and don't have the money to get them?

I went through the first book and you can see and tell the differences in the translation and the art. Using the original artwork scans, this version seems to have lighter artwork than the TOKYOPOP printings in which the results are more details and the not-so-dark inks. befitting the CCS story. Since I have several copies (oringinal Japanese, bi-lingual, TP original and TP revised), I'll compare them all and see if this is indeed true.

Now those waiting (ME!) on the second CCS omnibus from Dark Horse...don't hold your breath. It's been delayed indefinitely. Whether the Magic Knight Rayearth omnibus comes out on the 18th...that's anybody's guess.

Officially, Dark Horse has now said both CCS and MKR omnibuses will come out...sometime in 2011. No definitive dates have been set at this time

Would you believe August 9th? Dark Horse may still release it on the planned July date however the three book places online where they're taking the pre-orders are showing August as their availability.
