Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

Married future scares me. I wnat the child, but not have the man...if that makes sense. But I'm equally scared of growing old as a lonely old woman!

That's me for ya... its the fear of commitment... like all those arguments couples you see on tv... what if you had to go through it in life? It's a scary thought really. And I know I wont be ready for it for a long time to come...

Yea! Most of friends say that they will never get married, but they will date guys! Which I kind of laugh at sometimes. Alot of people don't marry, but they do date.

I don't even date. I've sworn off men.

Married future scares me. I wnat the child, but not have the man...if that makes sense. But I'm equally scared of growing old as a lonely old woman! Hmm...maybe I'll find some rich guy who'll let me do whatever I want......

That's like me too. I don't want to get married, but I still want to know what pregnancy is like and raising the child. That's my only regret. I might adopt one day, because I really love children, but what I really want is to know how it feels to carry a baby in your womb. I honestly believe I could finally get rid of my eating disorder if I had a child, but since I'm never getting married, I guess I'll never become pregnant, and I don't believe in artificial insemination.

Â  My cousin is the exact oppiste. He adores cars and like all the little gadets (ie: ipods,mp3s, cameras) he could care less about girls/kids. I said that he would one day die old and lonely with no one to comfort him but his electronics. Guess what he said? "Oh don't forget my cars!!" T_T Geez! I smacked him after he said that. He could die old, wrinkly and alone, and he wouldn't care! I must change his mind!!

I want a kid as well, but I'm still thinking about the husband.  :sweatdrop: I want to be able to prove that women don't need men, and that they can stand on their own 2 feet!! But then I think about dying all alone..THen I'm not so sure~ :heh:  Not so sure about the rich guy thing though Ruby-chan lol!

No matter how hard I try to deny it . . . I'm still a hopeless romatic at my core.  If I ever do manage to find the right person, I wouldn't mind getting married . . . The problem with that is . . . I have yet to meet anyone worth falling for. Besides, I'm too indapendent for my own good, speak my mind when the mood suits me, go off to places on my own, and my guy friends have told me that they're afraid of me . . .  :sweatdrop: I wonder why . . . Oh well . . . I guess in the future if I ever do want kids, there's always adoption.

I have a friend who talks about how she would love to be the perfect housewife someday complete with a good husband, cute kids, and cookies and milk waiting on the kitchen table when school ends . . . Her dreams are all well and good, and I suppose it would be nice especially for a person like her . . . However, I don't think I can do that. I have too many dreams and too many things I want to do to be content with sitting around the house all day baking cookies and playing house . . . Getting married is nice and all, but I just don't think the general idea of "settling down" after getting hitched is right for me . . . I live for my independence, and I feel sorry for the poor sap who ends up marrying me.  :tongue3:

I've always had that fantasy: The white picket fence and settling down happily ever after.
But I never really thought about what I'd REALLY want. I want to get married, I know that. And I DO want to have kids, but I don't know if I'd adopt or not. Because I don't know if it's a genetics thing or not but it seems that every time someone on my moms side of the family has a child for the first time, he or she is a stillborn, or only survives a couple of days. It happened to my mom (if the baby hadn't died, I'd have a 21 year-old sister right now, and even after that my mom miscarried.), it hapened to a few of my aunts and it apparently happened to my great-grandma.
But, maybe it skips a generation (since it didn't happen to my grandma because my mom was her first), but it still gives me a bit of a panic. I don't think I could handle loosing a child like that.
But if I did have kids, I would want to be at home, since I know how much it sucked (and still does) to have my parents out working all day. I'd probably just work at home or something, I don't know.

Funny, both my brothers and my dad made that same promise haha!
Although their promise was a little more vulgar.
I wouldn't be worried about labour pain, since I've already had kidney stones/infection. THey say that's equivilant to labour pains.
Whew, glad I'm prepared >_<

When I started to like guys, my brother often got jealous that I was always nice to the guy and not to him, so he'd purposely start a fight so that I wouldn't like the guy. Where in his mind did he think that starting a fight would make me hate somebody?! My dad though, he desperately wants me to get married. My sisters have shown no prospects so far, and I know for a fact that my brother will never get married, so he tries every chance he gets to convince me to get married.

For instance, on a moment of pms, I will take all my anger out on my dad and then I'll turn to my mom and say,"And this is why I'll never get married," and dad will say, "Honey, you'll get married one day," and I'll say, "No I won't," then he'll say, "When I was your age I didn't want to get married either," and I'll always say, "Dad, you're a guy. You ask the question. Women don't," and then the half-hour debate will start. Frankly it's getting tiring.

The only boy in my life right now is Bradley......he is so cute! I just love the way he laughs!

Of course, that has nothing to do with the fact that he's my 4 year old cousin who's absolutely adorable....

He is soooo cute. He hides behind the sofa arm, and does peekaboo...and he always fakes running away so that someone will grab him and lift him up into a hug. And he gives you presents, like his crayons!

He has a new brother, Harley (what kinda name is that for a boy? More like a motorbike!), but he's not as cute, even though he's just a baby. And he cries waaay too much! Even more than usual.

Lol now I remember a time I brought a friend over to my house when my cousins were visiting... (it was a guy. typical right?) And I've known him ever since I moved into the neighborhood. So I bring him home to let him borrow some anime from me and then my cousins were all over us asking if we were going out. omg you should have saw the look on my brother's face (upmost horror and fury) since he never liked the guy (again, typical -_-) for the both of us, it was quite embarrassing... my parents were there too.. it was a relative getalong that i wasnt aware of. o_O what, then my mother was protesting I dont hang out with him anymore, my dad? I have no idea what he was thinking. cousins and brother? starting laughing about it and teasing me. see? single life is so much better.
